School Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a supportive learning environment, which enables students to develop social, emotional and cognitive skills necessary for becoming life-long learners in a global society.

Improvement Plan
After carefully re-evaluating our goals this fall using our MEAP and Michigan Literacy Proficiency Profile scores, we decided to continue improving our students’ writing in all grades. All of our professional development this year was used for these goals. While writing constructive responses for our writing goal, students also improved their knowledge of science facts.

Goals
Students will improve their MEAP writing scores. Students will also be able to answer constructed response questions using a rubric. They will develop skills to write narration from a given topic following a given rubric. Along with writing, we are working to develop a more focused spelling program.

L’Anse Creuse is proud that it employs staff that is nurturing with a genuine desire to see students achieve their highest potential. All teaching staff meet highly qualified standards as set forth by the No Child Left Behind federal legislation. In addition,
