MS-N also completed the North Central Association (NCA) accreditation cycle and was fully accredited in the 1999-2000 school year. That same year, MS-N earned recognition as a Michigan Exemplary School and a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. On March 24, 2000, MS-N hosted the Vice President of the United States, Mr. Albert Gore, as a guest for the day.
