L’Anse Creuse Middle School - South has 610 students enrolled for the 2007-2008 school year.
Our curriculum in all content areas is aligned with the state of Michigan’s benchmarks and student learning is tested each year in every grade in the areas of Math, Reading, & Writing. Social Studies and Science are tested once each in the sixth- and eighth-grades, respectively.

Our school building is undergoing major renovations this year; the front entrance, cafeteria, music facilities, and gymnasium are all scheduled for upgrades and redesigning. Through tremendous community support and involvement, these initiatives were made possible.

Since we were established as a model middle school in 1975, Middle School - South has enjoyed a statewide reputation as a school of excellence. Honored by the state of Michigan in 1998 as a Blue Ribbon School, we strive to maintain high standards for our students along with the support they need to reach their goals.
