The community is extremely proud that South River Elementary School was named a Blue Ribbon Exemplary School by the Michigan Department of Education. Our exceptional programs have been recognized for their dedication to our students and their academic achievement as well as our community partnerships that provide extended opportunities for our families. Our new building, designed by our community, reflects the character of the school that has served our students since 1875. This state-of-the art facility allows us to continue our tradition of excellence in a new building equipped to provide our students, families, staff and community with the best possible environment in which to learn, play, work and gather.
