South River Elementary Testimonials

School of choice in the L’Anse Creuse Public Schools has been a very positive experience for our whole family.  From filling out the initial application to moving from elementary school to middle school, all transitions have been very easy.  We truly feel like a part of the L’Anse Creuse family.  I am very glad we made this choice!

We chose L’Anse Creuse Public Schools because we wanted our children to receive a first-class education.  At South River Elementary, the students are provided with challenging and innovative learning opportunities.  The teachers and staff are consistently enthusiastic and the positive energy and strong sense of community can be felt in the halls.  Our son has been at South River for three years and our daughter can’t wait to start kindergarten!

I have two children at South River Elementary.  We do not live in district; however, I wanted my kids in one of Michigan’s top districts, which is L’Anse Creuse.  Now, we had to choose a school.  To be honest with you, I did not know where to begin.  Driving the kids was no big deal because we were already doing that anyway, and distance really was not a problem.  I just wanted them in a good school, where they had the ability to be involved and be themselves.  So I talked to my sister-in-law, who teaches at South River, she told me that there was no better place to be.  Now I just had to get in.  Choosing South River was the best thing for us.  The school is great; there is a real sense of community and the staff is great to work with.  Everyone is so willing to work with you, and it is a very friendly environment.  My kids love the activities, and they also love their teachers, past and present.  I love the fact that, even as a school of choice parent and family, we are made to feel right at home.
